Job summary

Cochran is seeking an AV Systems Estimator/Engineer in Seattle to design, estimate, and document AV projects from concept through completion. The role interfaces with engineering, installation teams, and customers to ensure accurate scoping, budgeting, and proposals for conference rooms, training spaces, and multi-room systems.

Candidates should bring hands-on AV knowledge, strong estimating discipline, and excellent communication skills to support a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years with Extron, Crestron, or AMX control systems; AV industry exp preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Strong writing skills for proposals and reports; proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Basic arithmetic and unit conversions; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with AV networking concepts and estimating practices.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly learn new AV technologies relevant to system design and integration.
• Create and maintain organized project documentation and estimates.
• Interpret drawings and apply information from schematics and diagrams.
• Use DSPs and AV switchers with standard configuration tools.
• Develop fully integrated AV systems meeting project requirements.
• Support bid analysis, reviews, and proposal preparation.
