New Era Technology is seeking an AV Solutions Designer to create end-to-end AV system designs and proposals, from design through to post-sales support. You will work with Sales and Project Managers to define equipment quantities, pricing, and installation requirements, and provide technical guidance during project delivery.

The role requires strong knowledge of AV technology, ability to produce documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations and project

• Translate pre-sales requirements from booked projects into functional system designs.
• Produce functional system descriptions and block diagrams.
• Develop test plans and engineering documentation for project delivery.
• Carry out site surveys to assess scope and limitations.
• Review pre-construction design and documentation with stakeholders.
• Support Project Manager as SME on technical aspects.
• Assist installation, commissioning, programming teams as required.
• Liaise on technical engineering inquiries and issues.

The AV Solutions is responsible for delivering end-to-end audio-visual solutions, from initial design through to project completion and client acceptance. This role combines pre-sales design expertise with post-sales technical support to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

System Design & Proposal Development:

• Create AV system designs and assemble proposals, including Design-Build documentation for audio, video, video conferencing, integrated control systems, and digital signage.

• Collaborate with Sales and Project Managers to prepare material and labour estimates, determine equipment quantities, pricing, and installation requirements aligned with customer expectations.

Technical Expertise & Engineering Support:

• Apply knowledge of advanced integrated audio, video, lighting systems, and digital signage to deliver professional designs and engineering solutions.

• Provide technical consultancy to the Project Management Team, generating detailed functional system descriptions, block flow diagrams, and equipment lists for successful project delivery.

Project Lifecycle Management:

• Support major project delivery while assisting other teams as needed.
• Ensure projects progress smoothly from inception to completion, meeting quality standards and client requirements.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of AV technologies, including audio, video conferencing, integrated control systems, and digital signage.

• Ability to produce accurate designs, documentation, and cost estimates.

• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with Sales, Project Managers, and technical teams.

• Proven experience in managing complex projects and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties include

• Translate pre-sales requirements from booked projects into functional system designs

• Develop engineering and architectural (RCP/Floor Plan)

• Carry out site surveys to fully understand the scope of the project and potential limitations in advance of the installation.

• Review pre-construction design and documentation

• Support the Project Manager as SME

• Support the installation, commissioning, programming Teams as required

• liaison forthe technical engineering inquires

Qualifications

• Proficient IT skills: Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint.

• Proficient in using MS Visio

• Excellent attention to detail and record keeping.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge and expertise in the design and integration of AV solutions

• Q-SYS,Extron, BIAMP, Crestron, Logitech, Poly, Neat

• Strong knowledge of construction management and experience working with general contractors, architects, electrical contractors, etc.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work to deadlines.

• Proactive approach.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings.

• Speak fluent English

• Maintain level of H&S required for site attendance
