  • Evaluate products against enterprise requirements including:
  • Reliability
  • Operational stability

  • Provide technical recommendations regarding product adoption, limitations, risks, and deployment readiness.
  • Act as an independent technical advisor during product selection discussions.
Laboratory Testing & Verification
  • Develop and execute structured test plans for AV hardware, firmware, software, and platform updates.
  • Maintain lab environments used to replicate production deployments and validate technology changes.
  • Conduct interoperability testing across approved AV platforms and collaboration ecosystems.
  • Validate manufacturer performance claims through hands‑on testing and real‑world use‑case simulation.
  • Identify product limitations, operational risks, and deployment challenges prior to production release.
  • Document all testing procedures, findings, and recommendations.
Firmware, Software & Regression Testing
  • Lead technical validation of firmware, software, and platform updates impacting approved AV solutions.
  • Develop and maintain regression testing procedures and standards.
  • Verify that updates do not negatively impact:
  • AV control systems
  • DSP functionality
  • Document testing results and provide deployment recommendations.
  • Support go/no‑go decisions for production releases.
Cybersecurity & Compliance Support
  • Participate in technical reviews supporting cybersecurity and technology risk assessments.
  • Validate product compliance with enterprise security requirements and standards.
  • Assess security implications of proposed AV technologies and architectural changes.
  • Review manufacturer security documentation and patch management practices.
  • Support remediation testing and validation activities when vulnerabilities or security concerns are identified.
Operational Readiness & Supportability
  • Evaluate products through the lens of long‑term operational support and maintainability.
  • Assess the availability of manufacturer support, replacement parts, software maintenance, and regional deployment considerations.
  • Ensure approved technologies can be effectively supported across multiple global regions.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding product lifecycle risks and supportability concerns.
  • Partner with operational support teams to identify recurring issues and opportunities for technology improvement.
Collaboration & Technical Governance
  • Work closely with Product Managers who own technology roadmaps, manufacturer engagement, pilot coordination, and hardware portfolio strategy.
  • Provide technical validation and engineering recommendations that support product management decisions.
  • Offer objective assessments of product maturity, deployment readiness, and operational risks.
  • Help ensure organizational technology decisions balance innovation with reliability, supportability, and operational stability.
  • Participate in standards reviews and technical governance discussions.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
  • Maintain comprehensive records of:
  • Product evaluations
  • Hardware testing results
  • Firmware validation
  • Regression testing outcomes
  • Product performance assessments
  • Develop technical standards, testing methodologies, and validation procedures.
