AV Solutions Architect

The AV Solutions Architect is a pre‑sales technical professional with deep subject‑matter expertise in audiovisual systems. This role works closely with customers, sales teams, and technical staff to assess existing environments and design solutions that align with business objectives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with sales account teams to develop and close client opportunities and drive revenue.
• Translate customer requirements into comprehensive functional system designs.
• Lead pre‑sales discussions to uncover and define customer requirements for AV and data center solutions.
• Develop proposals that incorporate solution designs tailored to clients' business needs.
• Review pre‑construction designs and documentation.
• Assist with technical design, pricing, and identification of potential project challenges.
• Create functional system descriptions and block diagrams.
• Identify cabling needs and other project materials.
• Provide material and labor estimates for projects.
• Serve as the customer liaison for engineering‑related inquiries.
• Support sales account executives in delivering technology updates.
• Obtain and maintain relevant vendor and manufacturer certifications.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Job Qualifications

• Advanced computer skills are required for the design, configuration, and operation of AV systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with internal teams, clients, and colleagues.
• Proven business writing proficiency.
• Experience with AV test and calibration equipment.
• Ability to support user acceptance testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex system issues.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the audiovisual industry.
• Ability to translate technical features and concepts into clear, tangible business benefits.
• Previous experience creating accurate quotes and Statements of Work (SOWs) under tight timelines.
