We're looking for an AV Software & Integration Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building integrations between systems, and working at the intersection of software, networking, and communications technology.

Position Summary

The AV Software & Integration Engineer is responsible for developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting network-based communication and collaboration systems.

This role blends software development, AV programming, networking, communications technologies, and systems integration. You will work with Q-SYS, VoIP systems, Microsoft Teams environments, network infrastructure, and various third-party platforms to create intelligent communication solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Software & Systems Integration

Develop and maintain integrations between communication, collaboration, and AV platforms.
Configure and program Q-SYS systems and associated software components.
Develop, test, and troubleshoot API-based integrations.
Configure TCP/IP, UDP, WebSocket, SIP, and other network communication interfaces.
Create reusable software modules and integration standards.

Communications Systems Engineering

Support and deploy VoIP and SIP-based communication systems.
Integrate communication platforms with digital signage, nurse call, screen sharing, and enterprise systems.
Support Microsoft Teams Rooms for deployments and integrations.
Configure and troubleshoot network-based audio, video, and control systems.

Network & Protocol Analysis

Analyze network traffic using tools such as Wireshark.
Troubleshoot communication, audio, video, and control system issues.
Validate network performance and protocol operation.
Assist with network switch deployment and configuration.

Deployment & Technical Support

Participate in commissioning and deployment of customer systems.
Assist project teams with design reviews and implementation planning.
Create technical documentation and deployment standards.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support during implementation and operation.

Cybersecurity & Best Practices

Support secure deployment of communication systems.
Implement authentication and access control best practices.
Configure certificates and HTTPS communications.
Participate in cybersecurity reviews and compliance initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

One or more of the following:

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or related fields.
Technical degree or equivalent experience in Audio Visual, Systems Integration, Networking, or Unified Communications.
Experience developing software, scripting, or technical integrations.
Experience troubleshooting technical systems and networks.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Understanding IP networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.
Basic understanding of software development, programming, scripting, or automation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
