Job summary

ComNet Communications seeks an on-site installation lead to guide the AV team, ensuring work meets design specs, quality, and project schedules. You will coordinate materials, track inventory, and provide field documentation.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, programming devices, leading field personnel, and maintaining safety and cost controls. This full-time role is based in Flower Mound, TX and serves nationwide clients including Fortune 500 accounts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the commercial audio video industry.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial audio video installation.
• Ability to read, analyze and decipher blueprints and line drawings.
• Device/equipment programming and configuration skills (numerous manufacturers).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Lead and direct field personnel to meet scope and schedules.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for working with and leading the onsite installation team to ensure project installation meets industry standards and specific design parameters set forth by the ComNet Design Team along with meeting project schedules and budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with management to provide proper staffing and necessary tools for project
• Coordinate with the AV Project Manager for the requisition of materials in a timely manner and assist with the logistics and delivery of materials and equipment onsite
• Record serial numbers for all equipment and manage project’s material inventory once onsite
• Track labor and material cost throughout the project
• Utilize Daily Job Journals, Inventory, Forms and Communications Records to direct field personnel and ensure that schedules are met
• Stay current with emerging technologies
• Provide technical assistance to field personnel
• Inform AV Project Manager and Design Team of any change to scope as it arises in the field
• Inform AV Project Manager of any material or equipment failures requiring replacement
• Perform on-site inspections of local work locations on a daily basis
• Provide required field documentation including ‘field drawings, cable certification reports and applicable warranties
• Develop new subcontractor relationships; strengthen existing relationships
• Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years’ experience in the commercial audio video industry
