Job summary

Sound Guyz Event Solutions, Inc. in Hartford, CT, seeks a Level 2 AV Installer to execute commercial AV installations from approved drawings and scopes.

You will mount and connect displays, speakers, cameras, control devices, racks, and networked AV gear while ensuring quality and safety. You will interpret drawings, coordinate with trade teams, perform terminations and tests, troubleshoot field issues, and mentor Level 1 installers.

Qualifications

• Commercial AV installation experience required.
• Ability to read technical drawings and test AV systems.
• Experience with rack fabrication, terminations, and mounting systems.
• Strong field documentation and coordination with clients.
• Safety training or industry certifications valued.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, scopes, elevations, and cable schedules.
• Install and connect displays, speakers, cameras, control devices, racks and networked AV equipment.
• Complete terminations, labeling, testing, and commissioning support.
• Troubleshoot faults and document field changes clearly.
• Guide junior installers while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule.
