Daisy is seeking an AV Installation & Service Technician for our North Jersey team based in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. You will split time between our shop and client homes, installing and supporting smart home systems that unify lighting, shades, audio/video, and security into a seamless experience.

This hands-on, customer-facing role values quality work and building trusted relationships with clients, regularly interacting with them while representing the Daisy brand.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in AV, networking, or technology integration.
• Professional, customer-first attitude representing Daisy.
• Strong troubleshooting and judgment to escalate when needed.
• Motivated to learn new technologies and processes.
• Exhibits leadership and can motivate others.
• Able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Valid NJ Real ID driver's license and insured vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders/attics.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot smart home systems including lighting, shades, audio/video, networking, and security.
• Diagnose issues on-site, solo or with senior technicians or project leads.
• Travel to client homes for installs and service; maintain tools and vehicle.
• Communicate clearly with clients and professionals, explaining system operation on-site.
• Document progress in Dynamics Portal and log materials and time for each job.

We're looking for an AV Installation & Service Technician to join our North Jersey team, based out of our Ho‑Ho‑Kus location. In this role, you'll split your time between our shop and clients' homes, installing and supporting smart home automation systems that bring together lighting, shades, audio, video, and security into one seamless experience. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role for someone who takes pride in doing quality work and leaving clients with systems that just work. Our Lead Technicians regularly interact with clients while representing the Daisy brand and develop trusted relationships, helping to enhance their lives through technology.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot smart home automation systems, including lighting control, motorized shades, audio/video distribution, networking, and home security.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on‑site, both independently and alongside senior technicians or project leads.
• Travel to various job sites and client homes to complete installs, service calls and system support; use hand and power tools safely; maintain company‑issued tools, equipment, and vehicle organized and in good working order.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and other industry professionals, walking them through system operation and addressing questions on‑site.
• Communicate daily via Dynamics Portal about the progress of the project. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on each job.

Qualifications

• 2‑3 years of AV/Networking /Technology Integration Experience or a related field
• A professional, customer‑first attitude — you represent Daisy in clients' homes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the judgment to know when to solve a problem independently vs. escalate it.
• Motivated to learn new technologies and processes
• Exhibits strong management and leadership skills; capable of leading and motivating others
• Can pass a drug screen and background check
• Possess a valid NJ Real ID driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured motor vehicle
• Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs) and comfortably work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and other tight job‑site conditions.

Nice To Have

• Experience with video wall systems, including mounting, alignment, and calibration.
• Manufacturer certifications in control systems, networking, or AV platforms (e.g., Control4, Lutron, Crestron, or similar).

Schedule & Travel

This position is based at our Ho‑Ho‑Kus, NJ location, with regular travel to client homes throughout the surrounding area for installs and service calls. Occasional travel beyond the immediate area may be required as business needs dictate. (All expenses paid by Company)
