Job summary

Guitar Center is seeking a Field Engineer to lead AV system commissioning on-site, ensuring installations meet design specs. You will document drawings, configure networks, and provide client training during project handover.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years’ AV commissioning experience, familiarity with QSYS/Biamp/Crestron and strong communication skills for on-site coordination and daily reporting. Travel to local sites is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in AV systems commissioning.
• Experience with AV software platforms (QSYS, Biamp, Crestron, Teams, Zoom, Cisco, Poly).
• CTS-D or formal education in engineering or related field preferred.
• Must interpret and mark up construction/technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning Audio Video systems, including lighting, shades, and security as needed.
• Document and markup drawings and update IP/network documentation.
• Provide daily reports and project communications to clients and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot issues and direct technical teams on installation challenges.
• Interact with clients to train and ensure smooth project handover.
