Job summary

NEP Group Inc. is seeking a Shop Assistant to expedite shipments, manage receivables, and prepare gear for AVS events. You will support field shop activities and receive hands-on training in a full-time, on-site role at the Van Nuys facility.

We expect reliability, a willingness to learn, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Strong communication and basic inventory skills are essential, with a path for growth within the company and opportunities across our live production teams.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Some shop experience desirable.
• Basic knowledge of equipment handling and inventory management preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, seek assistance for heavier loads.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; multi-tasking ability.
• High School Diploma required; technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Microsoft OS and applications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and distribute shipments and receivables each morning.
• Facilitate shipping/receiving by loading and unloading equipment.
• Compile and scan load lists for events; pick, pack, ship equipment.
• Prepare equipment for loading and offload for AVS gear.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment.
• Check in packages and move equipment to proper shop locations.
• Provide transportation of equipment for maintenance to local sites.
• Provide onsite support for equipment shipments and inventory at NEP events.
