Job summary

TECHEAD is seeking an experienced AV Design Engineer to join our client on a full-time, direct hire basis in Ashburn, VA. This on-site position requires hands-on design, documentation, and field support for commercial AV systems.

You will lead end-to-end system design for audio, video, conferencing, and control environments, create CAD/BIM drawings, and prepare BOMs and testing plans. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is expected, with CTS certifications encouraged and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• 3+ years of dedicated AV design and systems engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
• AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification preferred; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead end-to-end design, engineering, and documentation for multimedia environments.
• Create CAD/BIM drawings including floor plans, room details, and schematics.
• Maintain active industry certifications and stay current with AV/broadcast trends.
• Coordinate with clients and field teams for installation, commissioning, and training.
