We are seeking driven individuals to excel in powering, automating, integrating, and securing critical infrastructure and facilities. As an AV Design Engineer 2 within our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit, you will design, engineer, and maintain electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, AV systems, and more for diverse clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

  • Create drawing packages and BOMs in CAD.
  • Design and test complex videoconferencing and AV technologies.
  • Design AV systems with Crestron, AMX, and Extron control systems.
  • Conduct site surveys, gather requirements, develop project scopes, and provide system costings.
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot network and telecommunications systems.
  • Interpret plans and specifications to select appropriate materials and equipment.
  • Develop test plans for AV control system acceptance.
  • Provide on-site user and administrative training for AV systems.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 2+ years’ or Master’s Degree with 0+ years’ experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience with hardware/software solutions, cost estimates, and cross-training.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, including internationally.
  • Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, and electrical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of videoconferencing standards and blueprint reading.
  • AutoCAD or similar drafting software experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
