Job summary

Faith Group, LLC is seeking a qualified CAD/BIM Technician to join our thriving engineering and design practice. The BIM Technician will produce Revit/AutoCAD documents for the Audio-Visual department and work with engineers and designers.

FG AV projects typically range from $5MM to $50MM, offering growth into AV Designer for the right candidate. Applicants should have an AS in Engineering Technology or Drafting, 3+ years BIM experience, and proficiency in Revit 2024+, AutoCAD 2024+, BIM 360,

Qualifications

• Associates in Engineering Technology/Drafting or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years BIM experience and AV system knowledge.
• Experience producing construction documents (site/floor plans, RC diagrams, equipment schedules).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office; familiarity with BIM 360 and Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain Revit and AutoCAD projects using client models and drawings.
• Create and modify 3D model content (Revit Families) and AutoCAD blocks.
• Develop and maintain drafting standards for construction documents.
• QA/QC support and coordination of documents for submittals.
• Coordinate with team to ensure on-time, accurate completion.

Role Specific Introduction: We are seeking a qualified CAD/BIM Technician to join our thriving engineering and design practice. The BIM Technician will be responsible for the production of Revit/AutoCAD based documents for the Audio-Visual department. This candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a technical design team of engineers and designers. FG AV projects routinely range from $5MM to over $50MM. For the right candidate, this position provides a pathway for promotion up to AV Designer.

Qualifications:

• Associates in Applied Science in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years applicable BIM experience
• Experience with Audio-Visual systems is required
• Successful applicants should demonstrate, through resume and/or portfolio, experience in the production of construction documents, such as site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans and equipment schedules.
• Working experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Products. Ideal candidates will have advanced skills in Revit 2024+, AutoCAD 2024+ and BIM 360, Navisworks
• Ability to self-manage throughout the project and work as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain Revit and AutoCAD projects using client provided models and drawings.
• Create and modify 3D model content (Revit Families) and AutoCAD blocks.
• Develop and maintain drafting standards and best practices for construction document development.
• Aid in the QA/QC process.
• Interpret existing conditions through as-built drawings and photographs.
• Provide drafting support for construction documents in AutoCAD and REVIT in accordance with client-specific design standards and attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
• Coordinate with team-members to ensure the on-time, and accurate completion of documents for project submittals.
• Utilize Navisworks, Blue Beam, Outlook, Word, Excel, and learn other programs as required per project.
• Maintain consistency in a project, be very organized and be committed to making deadlines.
• Motivated to advance skills in drafting and 3D modeling.
• Good communication skills, organization skills, ability to effectively multi-task, and display acute attention to detail while working in a team environment is a must.

Education and Professional Certifications:

• Education: This position is flexible with degree requirement in lieu of actively held technical certifications and or technical competency demonstrated during interviews. Associates in Applied Science in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
• Certifications: Working toward CTS is a Plus

Compensation: $80,000+ depending on education, skill, experience and geographical location considerations.
