Job summary

Accolade Healthcare seeks an Auxiliary Assistant to support the nursing team by providing non-direct patient care and assisting CNAs. You will complete the Accolade CNA Program within 6 months of hire and continue with the organization as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Responsibilities include answering call lights, helping residents in dining, maintaining patient rooms, and ensuring safety policies are followed. This on-site role offers a supportive team and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must meet any physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to C.N.A.s with no direct resident care.
• Answer call lights.
• Complete AA checklist and ensure CNA receives completed documentation.
• Assist residents in wheelchairs to dining rooms and back.
• Help in dining rooms by passing drinks, taking orders and serving meals.
• Take meal orders and serve meals in-room if chosen.
• Make beds and ensure rooms tidy.
• Log and label personal items; ensure rooms and showers are stocked.
• Follow safety policies and Relias Training.
• Assist with wheelchair cleaning.
• No direct patient care by AA.
• Answer phone with proper etiquette.
• Resident visitation as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

As an Auxiliary Assistant at Accolade Healthcare, you will be a key member of our nursing department by providing additional assistance to the residents and staff; obtain C.N.A. Certification through the Accolade Healthcare C.N.A. Program within 6 months of hire; and continue working for Accolade Healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Pay Rate

$15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

As an Auxiliary Assistant, your responsibilities include:

• Provide assistance to the C.N.A.’s – with no physical resident care
• Answer call lights
• Assist with 15-minute visual checks-utilizing AA checklist tool and ensuring assigned CNA receives completed checklist for documentation
• Assist residents in wheelchairs to and from dining rooms
• Help in dining rooms (pass drinks/take orders, serve meals)
• Take meal orders and serve meals to residents who choose to eat in their room
• Make beds
• Pass ice water and snacks to residents without modified dietsBe sure resident rooms are neat and tidy (clean nightstands and bedside tables, empty trash, etc.)
• Ensure that personal items are logged as necessary
• Ensure that all personal items are labeled, bagged, and in nightstand
• Ensure rooms and shower rooms are fully stocked (gloves, personal hygiene items, etc.)
• Follow facility policies to ensure resident safety at all times – following In-services regarding all resident safety policies, complete orientation and Relias Training
• Wheelchair cleaning
• AA will perform NO direct patient care, i.e., lifting, transferring, incontinent care or feeding
• Answer phone using proper phone etiquette
• Resident visitation/conversation time/perform resident sitter duty if needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Must complete Accolade CNA Program and test within 6 months of hire and acceptance into the CNA Program
