Reword? [sic] Reworld is seeking an Auxiliary Operator in Wareham, MA to operate and inspect power plant systems in collaboration with the facility control room. The role emphasizes safety, data monitoring, and efficient disposal processes for sustainable waste management.

Responsibilities include maintaining boiler systems, reading gauges, sampling water, and safely operating heavy equipment. A High School Diploma and 2–3 years of experience are preferred, with on-call shift coverage expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to work rotating shift schedules and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems safely per procedures (boilers, APC systems, ash systems, and heavy equipment).
• Monitor and inspect boiler auxiliary equipment including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, and conveyors.
• Read data from meters and gauges to identify trends or disruptions affecting operations.
• Perform sampling and chemistry testing of water as required.
• Operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, forklifts) as needed.

Apply today!About the roleAs an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld's industrial disposal process.Position Responsibilities:· Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, systems include, but are not exclusively limited to boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment· Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices· Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations· Monitor air pollution control equipment· Perform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required· Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, such as: cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts· Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operationsPosition Requirements & Qualifications:· High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred· A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience operating heavy industrial equipment preferred· Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule and on call shift coverage responsibilities· 2nd MA Fireman license or higher requiredPhysical Demands of the Role:· Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb· Ability to lift/carry 50lbs· Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces· Qualify to wear a full-face respirator· Consistently work in various weather conditionsAll Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.Please note that Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.Pay TransparencyReworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages.
