Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC in Dickerson, MD, seeks an Auxiliary Operator to work with the control room to operate and inspect power plant systems safely and efficiently.

You will monitor boiler plant equipment, perform sampling and chemistry testing, operate heavy mobile equipment, and help maintain refuse-fuel levels across designated pits and areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years’ experience operating boiler and heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience with chemistry testing is a plus.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems safely and efficiently.
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices.
• Read meters and gauges to identify trends and potential disruptions.
• Perform chemistry testing and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and mix in designated pits and areas.
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe operations.
