Allina Health, a not-for-profit health system serving Minnesota and western Wisconsin, seeks an autopsy assistant to support pathologists in post-mortem procedures and related autopsy room duties. Responsibilities include handling tissues, labeling, and documenting findings while maintaining a safe morgue environment.

The role is casual (0.0 FTE) with on-call requirements, day/evening shifts, and no weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–2 years in anatomic procedures or 2–5 years in a large hospital Pathology Lab.

Responsabilités

• Assist pathologists in autopsy procedures and in eviscerations/post‑eviscerations.
• Describe the position and condition of internal organs, fluids, and other observations to the pathologist.
• Coordinate the receiving and releasing of bodies; label and store gross tissues.
• Collect specimens and record information; weigh organs and record results.
• aseptically collect specimens for cultures and transport organs as directed.
• Maintain a safe, clean morgue workspace and stock necessary supplies; perform QC and document maintenance.

Bachelor's degree in a science related field
