Emory University seeks a full-time Autopsy Pathologist to join their Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. The position includes directing the Autopsy Service at two major hospitals and requires an MD or equivalent with appropriate board credentials. Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Autopsy Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The role involves providing autopsy coverage and serving as Director of the Autopsy Service at Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown, large academic medical centers serving the metro Atlanta area and surrounding community.
The successful candidate will join an interactive, collegial faculty team. The yearly autopsy volume is approximately 150 cases, including a variety of adult and pediatric cases. Emory University hosts one of the largest AP/CP residencies in the country, 12 accredited subspecialty fellowships, and has close ties to the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Center, offering abundant opportunities for clinical and translational scholarship and teaching (see www.pathology.emory.edu).
Qualifications include an MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree, with board eligibility or certification in Anatomic Pathology, and eligibility for medical licensure in Georgia. Additional expertise or fellowship training in surgical pathology subspecialties, particularly perinatal and cardiothoracic pathology, is desirable. Compensation and faculty rank will be commensurate with qualifications.
