Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Staffed Technologies Validation Engineer to join our team at Tucson Proving Grounds. The role focuses on validating software for staffed, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines, ensuring high-quality validation plans and rigorous execution.

You will collaborate with autonomy validation engineers, perform data analysis, and stay abreast of industry trends while traveling up to 10% and working onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Engineering or related field.
Experience with CAT MineStar systems and on-machine validation is preferred.
Proficiency with CANape/CANalyzer and Linux operating systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and troubleshoot software systems for staffed, semi-autonomous, and autonomous machines.
Create validation plans and ensure thorough execution and documentation of results.
Collaborate with autonomy validation engineers, support teams and product support on projects and issues.
Continuously learn about industry trends and new technology through self-study and conferences.
