Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in Systems Engineering, Autonomous Systems, or Robotics.
• Master’s/PhD with 5+ years in relevant field.
• 3+ years leading and scaling data-driven evaluation programs for autonomous driving or safety-critical tech.
• Hands-on technical leader with a track record of growing high-performing teams.
• Experience decomposing ODD requirements into vehicle capabilities and measurable criteria.
• Expertise using large-scale simulation, track, and road data to gain actionable insights.
• Strong cross-functional influence across Autonomy, Infrastructure, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Design the System Behavior by decomposing ODD requirements into system and subsystem behaviors and interfaces.
• Develop measurable targets from policy narratives to guide autonomy teams.
• Drive evaluation strategy with metrics and reward functions across simulators, tracks, and on-road data.
• Mentor and scale a high-performing engineering team with a culture of rigor and data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure design improvements and launch criteria.
• Exploit data exploration to understand problems and guide resolutions with development teams.
• Incorporate bleeding-edge metrics and learning methods to extend evaluation capabilities.
