Job summary
May Mobility in Ann Arbor seeks a Director of Autonomy Behaviors to lead the vision, strategy and technical roadmap of the Behavior & Controls team, advancing MPDM technology for safe, comfortable rides. This role reports to the SVP of Autonomy and involves mentoring engineers, collaborating with Vehicle Engineering, Software, Data and Operations, and delivering data-driven autonomy advances.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software-focused robotics or autonomous systems experience.
- Experience leading a 10+ engineer team.
- Proven track record delivering autonomy solutions in AV space.
- Ability to manage strategy and roadmaps with executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Champion autonomy strategy with executives and leaders.
- Collaborate across Autonomy, Vehicle Engineering, Software, Data, and Operations.
- Advance MPDM technology through data-driven policies and simulations.
- Ensure MPDM systems perform in commercial deployments and triage issues.
- Develop KPIs to track autonomy performance.
- Recruit, hire, and manage a diverse team of engineers.
