Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a System Integration Lead to drive the core technology platform for autonomy software in Cat Robotics.

You will lead a team, shape architectures, and ensure delivery of critical autonomy solutions for on-board applications. The role requires a strong C++ background, systems engineering experience in heavy machinery, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, Robotics or related field.
• Experience leading multiple complex projects with timelines and deliverables.
• Skilled at programming in C++.
• System Engineering experience in automotive or heavy machinery industries.
• Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals.

As a System Integration Lead focusing on core technology application platform, you’ll collaborate with team members to develop the core autonomy framework used in on-board applications at Caterpillar that provide critical value to our customers. Every day you will work with your team to solve real world problems by selecting the right approach and bringing those solutions to production.

• Software Product Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design.
• Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning

Top candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree in an accredited Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related degree
• Ability to lead multiple complex projects, meeting timelines and deliverables
• Skilled at programming in C++
• System Engineering experience in automotive or heavy machinery industries
• Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals

Additional Details:

• This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office.
• Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
• Visa sponsorship is NOT available with this position.
• This position may require up to 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $208,770.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
