Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Autonomy Systems Integration Lead to advance the core autonomy framework for on-board applications at the Mossville, IL office. You will guide a team of developers, translate requirements into architectures, and ensure solutions meet customer needs.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, strong C++ skills, and system engineering experience in heavy machinery. Relocation assistance is available; travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or related field.
  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects, meeting timelines and deliverables.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics and engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience in automotive or heavy machinery industries.
  • System Engineering experience in complex autonomy projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers to deliver software for Cat Robotics.
  • Gather requirements and scope deliverables.
  • Design system architectures for interfacing autonomy middleware to applications.
  • Manage I/O requirements for machine control hardware and other autonomy-related devices.
