Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an automotive system engineer to design L2/L3 grade systems aligned with the AV2.0 approach, embedding autonomy in future OEM vehicle infrastructures. You will grow with the company and coach teams toward automotive-grade, requirement-based development.

Qualifications

• Essential: ability to define clear, actionable system requirements for L2+/L3 automated driving or ADAS functionalities.
• Desirable: knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks and data/test driven development practices.
• Desirable: experience with automotive software development including C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Define clear, actionable system requirements for assigned products and ensure traceability throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, software developers and hardware teams to align requirements with customer and business needs.
• Engage with customers and represent Wayve in collaboration planning.
• Drive data-driven development, support implementation, hands-on testing, problem resolution and continuous improvement.
