Job summary

Shield AI seeks Autonomous Software Engineers for full-time roles starting in 2027. This is an in-person opportunity for students graduating during the 2026-2027 academic year, with review for positions after graduation in 2027.

You will design, implement, test, and ship C++/Python features for real-time UAV autonomy, write firmware, develop tests and tooling, and collaborate across autonomy, perception, and C2 systems with cross-functional engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in CS/Robotics/EE/Aerospace; graduation 2026–2027.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and ship C++/Python features with senior engineers.
• Write embedded firmware in C/C++ for real-time UAV software.
• Develop tests, tooling, and validation for software behavior.
