Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and debug embedded software for robotics platforms. You will work closely with hardware teams to implement drivers, interfaces, and control software for sensors, actuators, and PLCs on Linux-based RTOS environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding daily, hardware–software integration, and collaboration across controls, mechanical, and test engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or CS.
• Experience with embedded C/C++ in robotics or similar
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems and RTOS environments

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded C/C++ software for robotics.
• Interface with sensors, actuators, PLCs, and hardware platforms.
• Read datasheets and integrate software drivers for embedded systems.
• Debug across hardware and software boundaries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integration and testing.
