Job summary

Mach Industries is seeking a Software Engineer, Mission Autonomy to develop software that translates mission objectives into autonomous behavior for Mach’s aerial platforms. You will design mission-planning, decision-making, task-execution, and contingency-management capabilities across vehicle autonomy, flight software, perception, and ground-control systems.

Qualifications

Strong C++ and Python with production-quality software experience.
Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, or aerospace platforms.
Ability to design, debug, and maintain software across multiple subsystems.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and deploy mission-autonomy software using modern C++.
Use Python to develop tooling for analysis, simulation, test automation, and mission evaluation.
Develop software for mission planning, task sequencing, behavior orchestration, state management, and autonomous mission execution.
Build decision-making and contingency-management systems responsive to health, sensor, and comms events.
Translate operation concepts into well-defined autonomous behaviors and software interfaces.
Integrate mission software with flight controls, navigation, perception, payloads, communications, and GCS.
Design clear interfaces between high-level logic and vehicle capabilities.
Ensure operation under degraded or lost-communication conditions.
