Kodiak Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to own the Autonomy Fault Management System from requirements to verification and safety case integration.

You will ensure the Kodiak Driver handles onboard faults with safe responses and maintain system artifacts critical to scalable driverless operation. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in real-time safety-critical domains, strong C/C++ skills, and experience in V-model systems engineering plus cross-functional collaboration across hardware,

Qualifications

• 2+ years in real-time safety-critical applications (autonomous systems preferred).
• Experience with fault management, diagnostics, and safe-state behaviors.
• Ability to read C/C++ code and work across hardware/software teams.

Responsibilities

• Own design and execution of Autonomy Fault Management System across requirements, architecture, V&V, and safety case integration.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including requirements and traceability.
• Support fault management architecture, detection, isolation, response, and safe-state behavior.
• Contribute to evidence for Fault Management System within Driverless Safety Case.
