Job summary

Kodiak Robotics seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to lead the design and execution of the next-generation Autonomy Fault Management System in San Francisco. This role is pivotal for aligning cross-functional teams and ensuring scalable driverless deployment, focusing on safety and operational continuity.

Successful candidates will possess a relevant degree and over 5 years of experience in safety-critical applications. Have a strong technical strategy perspective and skills in fault management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience within real-time safety-critical applications, preferably in highly automated or autonomous systems.
• Experience with fault management and diagnostic development.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering V-model.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of Autonomy Fault Management System.
• Own systems and safety engineering execution for fault management.
• Develop fault management architecture and concept of operations.

Skills

5+ years experience in safety-critical applications

Experience with fault management

Ability to read C/C++ code

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with agile teams

Education

B.S., M.S., or PhD in engineering or related technical field
