Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an Autonomous Pilot Integration Team Lead to guide a small-to-mid sized engineering team responsible for autonomy software on launched effects platforms. You will own delivery, growth, and technical health, while collaborating with Autonomy Capabilities, Perception, and autopilot vendors.

You will mentor engineers and drive the design, development, and field deployment of major capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS, EE, Aerospace, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related experience; 2+ years in people management.
• Experience growing teams and mentoring engineers.
• Direct experience with launched effects or small unmanned systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of autonomy engineers (3–8) owning delivery, growth, and technical health.
• Drive hiring, interviews, and onboarding of engineers for your area.
• Develop and field autonomy software on launched effects platforms end-to-end.
• Collaborate with Autonomy Capabilities, Perception, vendors, and government customers.
• Drive design reviews, ICDs, and interface contracts; ensure live test readiness.
