Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is seeking a software engineer for onboard autonomy development. You will develop and mature mission planning, path and motion planning algorithms, and multi-agent coordination for electric VTOL systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and mature mission planning, multi-platform coordination, and onboard decision-making algorithms.
  • Design and implement path and motion planning algorithms for single- and multi-agent systems.
  • Develop optimization and decision-making approaches for operation under uncertainty.
  • Integrate algorithms with the broader onboard software stack.
  • Validate system behaviors through simulation and field testing.
  • Collaborate with perception, navigation, and integration teams to field robust multi-agent systems
