Job summary

VIP Pain Management in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our physician-led, APP-driven pain care team. This full-time role offers a 2–3 month structured training program, physician mentorship, and increasing clinical autonomy as competency grows.

We treat acute and sub-acute pain across post-acute settings, with no nights and no on-call requirements, and clear opportunities for advancement within the VIP Pain network.

Qualifications

• NP or PA with clinical training in pain management.
• Experience in acute/sub-acute pain care is a plus.
• Strong clinical autonomy under physician-led model.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations
• Evaluate and manage acute and sub-acute pain
• Assess post-surgical, orthopedic, spine, neurological, and rehabilitation patients
• Develop individualized pain-management treatment plans
• Prescribe, manage, and adjust medications within scope of practice
• Prepare longer-duration pain prescriptions for physician review/signature when required
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and patient recovery
