Qualifications

• Must have completed an Internal Medicine residency.
• Illinois medical license or license pending.
• Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients to meet their medical needs.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients and families.
• Shares health care duties of patients with other physicians to ensure physician availability.
• Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs.
• Orders studies, tests and ancillary services.
• Documents all services in patient medical records.
• Participates in teaching sessions for hospital staff, residents and/or medical students.
