Qualifications

• Must have completed the OT academic program and be eligible for licensure.
• Must possess a current Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and limitations to determine treatment needs and goals.
• Implement individualized OT treatment plans in collaboration with the patient and family.
• Document progress and care plans in the EMR system accurately and timely.
• Communicate treatment results to physicians, nurses, patients and caregivers to ensure continuity of care.
• Adapt caseload and priorities to meet department and patient needs while maintaining safety.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff and participate in training new personnel.
• Support department operational activities and participate in process improvements.
• Interact with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
