Skydio, the leading US drone company, seeks a Research Intern to architect and implement autonomy algorithms on drones. You will work with a world-class CV and deep learning team and own a project that advances capabilities of Skydio's products.

The role pairs you with core software developers to contribute to next-generation autonomy, with emphasis on math, theory, and robust software engineering. FAA Part 107 certification within 60 days is strongly encouraged for applicable roles.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++ and Python; PyTorch.
• Interest in computer vision, deep learning, motion planning and related areas.

Responsibilities

• Enable rapid research and development of autonomous capabilities.
• Prototype and assess feasibility of new approaches.
• Implement features that unlock user-facing magic.
• Characterize performance of core software/hardware components.
