Job summary

AM Pierce & Associates / Applied Technologies Group (ATG) is seeking a Data Scientist specializing in autonomy performance, safety, characterization, and decision analytics to design, develop, and manage the end-to-end analytical pipeline supporting evaluation of advanced autonomous systems.

The role involves transforming large volumes of simulation, test, mission, and system-performance data into defensible conclusions.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years in data science, analytics, modeling and simulation, or related disciplines.
• Ability to design end-to-end analytical pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization and quantifying results.
• Experience with large multidimensional datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical approaches for evaluating autonomous software and systems across simulation and test environments.
• Develop quantitative approaches for assessing autonomy safety and risk.
• Analyze safety-critical behaviors and timing, recovery, and boundary compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to design experiments answering technical questions.
• Develop software and analytical tools for processing high-volume telemetry and create reusable libraries.
