Waabi is seeking a highly experienced Applied Data Scientist to shape the methodologies underpinning our evaluation ecosystem for autonomous driving. This senior role sits at the intersection of Evaluation, Systems & Safety, and the Autonomy teams, driving end-to-end analysis and production-quality code.

You will design scalable production frameworks for autonomy evaluation, prototype deep-dive analyses, and build tools and dashboards that communicate progress to technical and executive

Qualifications

• 6+ years of applied data science with end-to-end project experience.
• MS/PhD in a highly quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, CS, Physics, or Robotics.
• Strong command of Python/SQL for data analysis and prototyping.
• Experience working with internal cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable production frameworks for autonomy evaluation.
• Prototype complex analyses and deliver production-quality evaluation code.
• Build tools and dashboards to communicate progress to technical and executive teams.
• Collaborate with Safety and Autonomy to ensure reporting reflects system requirements.
• Develop models correlating simulation and real-world driving performance.
