Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Structural Build Engineer to support the design, analysis, and construction of autonomous surface vessels. The role oversees structural fabrication and issues at the shipyard, interfacing with design teams remotely from Austin.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, collaboration with engineering, and ensuring compliance with structural specs, welding, and fabrication tolerances. The position requires experience in shipyards and marine structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of ABS rules, AWS welding standards, USCG regulations.
• Experience with shipyard or marine fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, analysis, and fabrication of ship structural components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for CAD modeling and analysis.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve fabrication challenges.
• Lead ECOs and ensure traceability and verification.
• Support integration of autonomous navigation and control systems.
