Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking an experienced Captain to lead end-of-line testing and commissioning of the Marauder autonomous vessel. You will ensure safe navigation, supervise the crew, and coordinate with onshore teams to advance autonomous system development.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with USCG/SOLAS/IMO, and strong leadership in high-pressure environments to deliver mission objectives on schedule.

Qualifications

• Senior officer experience on crewed vessels in dynamic maritime environments.
• Valid USCG Master License(500/1600T) and STCW/GMDSS/Medical PIC credentials are required.
• Proven leadership in high-stakes operations with strict safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vessel operations, ensure safe navigation (autonomous and manual).
• Supervise onboard crew and coordinate with shoreside teams for testing and commissioning.
• Maintain logs, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance (USCG, SOLAS, IMO, Class).
• Lead safety and emergency response, plan missions, and ensure mission timelines.
