Job summary

Latitude AI in Detroit, MI is seeking a Mission Operator for an overnight contractor role to advance Ford’s autonomy roadmap through hands-on testing of development vehicles. You will drive test vehicles, monitor software and hardware, report performance, and collaborate with engineers while adhering to strict safety protocols across long-distance trips and travel.

Responsibilities

Drive test vehicles for long-distance missions (up to 300-400 miles) and travel (up to 50%).
Operate on rotating schedules and perform start-up, engagement, and shutdown procedures.
Monitor and troubleshoot software and hardware systems on the road.
Provide feedback to engineers and maintain detailed performance reports.
Represent the organization professionally while driving in public environments.
