Job summary

Waymo in California is seeking a Masters student intern on the Systems Engineering team to help design metrics, test plans, and simulated scenarios for autonomous driving systems.

You will build dashboards to monitor fault rates, support verification and validation activities, and develop automated data pipelines using Python and SQL. This hybrid onsite internship offers exposure to real-world mobility technology and company-wide benefits.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in MS program in engineering, CS, or related field.
• Ability to understand complex autonomous vehicle systems.
• Experience with Python and SQL for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design metrics, test plans and simulated scenarios for off-nominal AV conditions.
• Create dashboards to monitor fault rates on public roads.
• Support the V&V of Fault Protection and Remote Assistance.
• Build automated pipelines in Python and SQL to update test coverage.
