Job summary

Waymo LLC in Mountain View, CA, is offering an internship in the Systems Engineering team to design, implement, and test software infrastructure and tooling for test automation and validation. You will work with engineers to understand requirements and build scalable pipelines for testing on Hardware-in-the-Loop benches and simulations.

The role targets students pursuing a BS in CS/CE/Robotics, with strong C++ skills and knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (CS/CE/Robotics).
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software infrastructure and test runners for scaling on HIL benches and simulation platforms.
• Collaborate with Systems and Test Engineers to refine requirements, workflows, and test automation processes.
• Build automated pipelines and data workflows to streamline failure triaging, regression testing, and qualification reporting.
• Author technical design documents and lead demonstrations to onboard engineers to new automation capabilities.
