Job summary

Magna International Limited in Lowell, Massachusetts is seeking a System Test Engineer to perform root cause analysis and drive automation for autonomous robot testing. You will build and run tests, analyze results, and collaborate across systems engineering, testing and development teams to improve performance.

Proficiency in Python, JIRA and Testrail is required. You will set up complete testing environments, create lidar maps, manage localization tasks, and coordinate with fleet management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering.
• 24 months of related experience as an Engineer, System Test Engineer or Triage Engineer.
• Experience with root cause analysis of system behaviors.
• Experience with system monitoring frameworks for software/hardware faults in autonomous vehicle platforms.
• Experience with Python to create automation tools and process log data.
• Experience with JIRA for issue tracking and validation.
• Experience with system validation, testing and integration across hardware and software components.
• Ability to set up complete test environments including charging pads, lidar maps and localization.

Responsibilities

• Perform root cause analysis of system behaviors.
• Participate in system monitoring frameworks tracking faults across autonomous vehicle platforms.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, testing and development to resolve issues and improve performance.
• Create Python automation tools to process log data and streamline issue identification.
• Participate in system validation, testing and integration across hardware and software components.
• Utilize JIRA for issue tracking and validation.
• Set up test environments from scratch, including charging pads, lidar mapping and localization for testing.
• Design graph maps and routes for autonomous robot testing.
• Configure fleet manager and integrate with external tools via MQTT/Postman.
• Develop automatic staging and charging missions for autonomous robots.
