Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Vehicle Sys Integration Engineer to lead vehicle-level system activities for Autonomous Driving features, integrating sensors, ECUs and algorithms into a vehicle. Role spans production or mule vehicles and emphasizes hands-on collaboration across multiple teams.

You will write feature requirements in Polarion, ensure full-system traceability, and work closely with test, hardware, algorithm, and prototype teams in an AGILE framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical orElectrical Engineering or similar.
• 1+ year of vehicle-level systems experience in Autonomous Driving vehicles, or 3+ years in related areas: Vehicle Chassis, Vehicle Communication Networks, Vehicle Homologation.
• 1+ year of vehicle-level systems requirements review and test case development.
• Understanding of vehicle CAN or Automotive Ethernet bus and related tools like Vector Canoe/CANalyzer/Canape.

Responsibilities

• Lead all vehicle-level system activities with a team of systems engineers on a specific OEM program, including feature definition with OEM customer, requirements decomposition, planning and issue reporting.
• Write feature-level requirements into Polarion and coordinate lower-level requirements for full-system definition and traceability.
• Collaborate with Test to define test cases and ensure each requirement is testable and traceable.
• Work with sensor/ECU hardware, algorithm, and testing teams to define Aptiv's system solutions.
• Coordinate with Prototype Vehicle Build to ensure Aptiv instrumentation is integrated and functioning per design.
• Operate within an AGILE development framework.
