Job summary

Trucking People in Grand Rapids, MN seeks a Part-Time Autonomous Vehicle Operator to support a self-driving public transportation service. You will monitor vehicle performance, assist riders, and ensure safety while the vehicle operates autonomously.

No prior autonomous-vehicle experience is required; strong customer service, driving experience, or safety-focused backgrounds are welcome. Shifts 10:00 AM–9:00 PM, on-site work, $23/hour plus a $500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years old.
• Valid driver's license held continuously for at least 3 years.
• Able to pass MVR and background screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital reporting systems.
• Able to stay focused during shifts.
• Able to assist wheelchair passengers and lift 30–50 lbs.
• Background and drug/alcohol testing as required by law.
• 1–2 weeks of mandatory training.
• On-site work in Grand Rapids, MN.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Monitor autonomous vehicle systems during daily operations.
• Maintain situational awareness and follow safety procedures.
• Take manual control when required for safety.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting.
• Help wheelchair passengers and secure mobility equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections.
• Keep vehicle clean and ready for service.
• Document daily activities using digital reporting tools.
• Communicate operational concerns to supervisors.
• Enforce zero phone-use during operations.
