Job summary

truckingpeople is hiring Local AV Operators in Grand Rapids, MN for part-time work with autonomous public transportation services. You will operate and monitor vehicles, ensure passenger safety, and assist riders, including accessibility support.

Shifts run 10:00 AM–9:00 PM with part-time up to 30 hours/week and a $23/hour pay plus a $500 sign-on bonus. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, at least 3 years of driving experience, a clean driving record, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable with vehicles that use advanced technology.
• Customer-service oriented and professional.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist passengers with accessibility equipment.
• Excellent safety awareness and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor autonomous vehicles.
• Provide safe, professional transportation to passengers.
• Interact with passengers and the operations team.
• Assist passengers with accessibility needs.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Document daily activities and provide feedback.
• Report issues and help improve the passenger experience.
