Job summary

Kodiak Robotics, Inc. is seeking a hands-on technician to build, troubleshoot, and upfit autonomous technology. You will work as a core member of the Engineering team, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software issues to improve fleet uptime.

Role requires experience with prototype builds, reading schematics, and documenting findings. Onsite duties with occasional travel to fleet locations and partner sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Experience with prototype, first-article, or low-volume builds, and operating test equipment.
• Strong electrical diagnostics skills; able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness diagrams.
• Aptitude for creating and using documentation to thoroughly communicate topics within the engineering structure.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and upfit first article builds of autonomous technology.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and root-cause across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Maintain, repair, and upfit systems to improve fleet uptime.
• Test mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.
• Generate and review work instructions, redlines, and feedback for the engineering team.
• Inspect hardware quality and provide feedback to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Onsite work with occasional travel to fleet/partner sites as needed.
