Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Vehicle Integration Technician in Austin, TX hybrid to help retrofit autonomous systems on industrial vehicles. You will adapt hardware, install wiring and sensors, and conduct testing on customer sites across multiple vehicle platforms.

Qualified candidates have 3–8 years in automotive/robotics/heavy machinery and a Bachelor’s degree. ECU/embedded programming experience is a plus and the team plans rapid growth in the Austin location.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in automotive, robotics, or heavy machinery.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience retrofitting kits into autonomous machines.

Responsibilities

• Adapt platform hardware to fit each machine model.
• Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, mounting brackets, sensors, and actuators; perform continuity, voltage, power, and CAN/J1939 checks.
• Go to customer sites to scope retrofit needs and run installation, commissioning, debugging, and acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot integration problems across electrical, mechanical, and software layers; issue clear change requests to platform teams.
• Record build issues and lessons learned to improve Vehicle Adapter Kits; ECU/embedded programming is a plus.
