Job summary

Overland AI, headquartered in Seattle, seeks a Production Technician to oversee end-to-end assembly and integration of electrical and mechanical subsystems for autonomous ground vehicles. You will assemble, test, and quality-check subassemblies, install wiring, and collaborate with engineers to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1+ year in manufacturing, proficiency with tools, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in manufacturing (aerospace/electronics/automotive) handling mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools (pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, multimeters)
• Able to read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions
• Able to pivot in a high-paced environment
• Clear communication with engineering and production teams

Responsibilities

• Follow diagrams, schematics, and specs to assemble subassemblies into systems
• Use hand and power tools to assemble components and ensure proper fit
• Perform micro-soldering, rework, and reflow tasks
• Build prototype models per technical guidelines
• Install cables, wiring, and splicing as needed
• Read and create assembly instructions; coordinate with other departments
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electronic and mechanical systems; recommend repairs
• Document assembly processes and test results; maintain records
• Provide feedback on design or process improvements to boost production efficiency
• Collaborate with engineers to meet production goals
• Maintain safe and clean work environment
