Job summary

Atoms is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to work with senior hardware engineers on autonomous transport platforms. You’ll design, test, and integrate real-world hardware for next-generation on-road vehicles.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Robotics with hands-on PCB design experience and exposure to lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. This is an onsite position in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Solid foundation in circuit design and embedded systems logic.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design tools and bench equipment through labs or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support PCB & carrier board design for vehicle compute and sensors.
• Assist with automotive communication protocol analysis (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet).
• Help design, assemble, and execute hardware test procedures and fixtures.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on vehicle bring-up and fleet installations.
